Should I have a companion with me before venturing into Blac

Post » Tue Dec 18, 2012 12:00 am

Hello guys,

My main Nord Dragonborn character is ready to enter the deeps of Blackreach, but is still undecided if he would bring a companion with him or he should go alone.

What should I do? Would my weapons and the Thu'um be enough to conquer Blackreach?

Do I need a companion with me? and what kind of companion. I was thinking of my old friend Erandur.

What do you think guys?

It depends on your level, your playstyle, your gear, your difficulty setting....

I mean...Just take one and tell them to hit the road if you tire of them. Then again, you could just have them wait in spots. Only have them along to pack loot.

What have you done in ruins so far? Might want to stick to what you know. But it also depends on your character. If you have a character who is good at sneaking then a companion can be a detriment to your success. If you walk straight into a fight then a companion could be good. A few parts of Blackreach can be difficult to fairly difficult depending on your level and abilities. If you are playing a low health, low armor character, like a mage, you will definitely want a companion along.

I'd bring one along purely for loot purposes.

Yes definitly! The amount of ore, loot and other vaulables you'll find in there haha dude you'll NEED a pack mule, so bring a companion and also bring a pickaxe haha. There's a tonne of Geode ore veins down there lol.

As stated earlier, it depends on if your character is stealthy, or a warrior, or a mage. It also depends on your difficulty settings. My Imperial paladin on my master would never go through Blackreach alone. It's impossible :ermm:
