since rage is a steamworks game i created a parallel official unofficial rage sdk thread on steam forums!

i am creating this thread in anticipation of upcoming release of rage level editor / sdk

having said the above i want to up front let everyone know i have no special access or knowledge of an sdk being released by id for rage other than what has already been publicly said.

basically from what i read they will be focusing on rage sdk soon after scorchers dlc is released

so we should hopefully have something soon, very soon, perhaps this or next month!


so i figure we need a thread like this one to coordinate mapping/modding efforts by the steam community

just so that everyone knows i myself own and play the game and love it.

so lets do the same for rage!

so here is goes ideas please post your ideas for tweaks, maps, missions, mods.

here is what i want for christmas

1. steam workshop integration for sdk, this would make things very easy

2. enemies respawn in completed areas, so you can go back and keep fighting them

3. more loot dropped all around, so its more like dead island or fallout

4. being able to pickup weapons from enemies that die, need i say more

5. being able to openly explore the complete map, no artificial limits

6. being able to enter all those areas that are artificially blocked, you know where the door never opens or their is some object blocking the path, great for putting all the loot and easter eggs

the above should hopefully be relatively easy to do since its basically tweaking what already exists.

the hardest i would think is being able to pickup weapons from dead enemies and respawning enemeies in areas completed.

still it would be nice to be able to find members with the talent to tackle them.
