Anyway: *title question* Such as a officer/moderator/GM/leader or even a owner? I mean, anywhere other than the Bethesda forums obviously. Personally, I was a officer of sorts when I played Guild Wars. But I had to take it seriously since the guild I was in wasn't all fun and games so I had to be on my best officer hat. Here's the scoop:
Spoiler
I joined a guild called [KISS]. For those who do not know, [KISS] is (I would assume was now since Guild Wars 2 may of jumbled things) the biggest guild in Guild Wars. 20 guilds (10 on Kurzick side, 10 on Luxon), each one with 70-100 members. Each guild had its own custom rank: officer, general manager, alliance manager, and senior officer.
In one of the guilds, I befriended the GM who made me officer. After a short while, the GM left for reasons such as getting tired of all the hate [KISS] got (Oh yes, [KISS] was well known, and well hated too just for being a big, organized and ruled alliance), so I just acted in controlling the memberships and dealing punishments to trolls and spammers, but in larger quantities since I was really the only active officer and the GM handled most of the issues.
The AM's saw how I did, so they called me up on Vent (We used vent to communicate issues or for gameplay), gave me a interview or sorts then promoted me to GM. I was pretty much one of the 20 leaders of the 20 guilds in the biggest, most loved-hated alliance in Guild Wars! It was interesting being a leader of something for once and actually using judgement on how to punish trouble makers and help out other members. Even when dealing with trouble makers and new members, I had my own paper work to do as well.
It was fun for a while, but then I left after being GM for almost a year. Reason was that I did not like the power trips the AMs were on. The way they handled things was nothing like I have seen, not even the forums here! It was like they were totally different people, and they would ban (Not punish, ban) someone for spamming if they asked a question in a span of a few minuets, they toned down inactivity bans to a few days which was horrid. And the worst part: They started playing favorites. Just a lot of small things. Nonetheless, it was fun being a leader and organizing the community!

So, what rank do you have or had? Any story to it?
