DLC require to re-install mods?

Hey guys,

I haven't played Skyrim for a while because I kind of F'd it up thanks to all the mods I downloaded. I crashed all the times and I was kind of frustrated. But yesterday I started to play Skyrim again, re-installed the game and started to re-download all the mods I use. But here is the thing, I want to buy the Dawnguard DLC and maybe the Hearthfire DLC also, but when I download for instance the Dawnguard DLC, do I have to download all my mods again or update them because they don't work with Dawnguard? Or doesn't it matter what DLC you use, every mod should just work?

My English isn't very good so I can't very good explain it. But for instance, when I downloaded the Sounds of Skyrim mod or the Climates of Tamriel mod, can I still run a with-a-DLC-updated-Skyrim with "vanilla" mods (mods that are just for the basic game without DLC's?) or do I have to search all the mods I downloaded again to search for Dawnguard updates? (I don't download the mods with that workshop thingy in Steam, I download them in loose files for skyrim.nexus)

Thanks in advance guys! Maybe I was a little bit vague, if that's the case I will try to be clearer, just tell me then.

No need to reinstall, some mods though require Dawnguard or Heartfire, in that case you should update these single mods.
