In search of a childhood card collection, Bandai Dragonball

When I was a very young boy, probably 10 or 11, my father worked at Toyota. Because of this, he frequently took trips to the country of Japan, where anime and manga originated.

When I was that young, my all time favorite show (as was most young boys) was Dragonball Z. My father knew this, and when he took trips to Japan in the 90's, he bought me original print Bandai Dragonball Z cards circa 1995. They looked like this:

etc.

He went on multiple trips and bought me multiple sets, they always came wrapped in just a rubber band with about 20-30 cards each. He told me he got them in an old shop in a corner long forgotten lol. I don't know exactly what that means, but oh well.

So on to my question. I lost these cards in a house fire when I was a little older. I was devastated, but it was what it was. I let them go. I recently have an interest with re-acquiring these because they really mean a lot to me. First off, I still love Dragonball Z, but more importantly, this is a memento from my past.

Aside from the obvious answer, which is..Japan, where can I find these? Do they sell them in America? Or is eBay/Amazon my only option?
