i may be over thinking/looking, which is what i do in skyrim as i do not leave any single rock unturned, but if you take a look at the scryes in apocrypha (the pod-things you activate to lower bridges etc.) it looks like there is in fact a pair of balls (scrotum) and an eye on each one. so im guessing thats where they got the name "scrye" and on the building of Thirsk, the wooden poles supporting the building on the outside, all have some snow dusted across them. if you look closely it almost looks like the Oblivion symbol. or even Miraks mask.

I don't know what your saying...the scryes look like a batwing with an eye and there is a pole with a snow covered oblivion symbol?

I'm missing the connection.
