I need help I can not get any body to follow me as they all say that I have someone already,
I looked online and people have said it might be someone I have told to wait somewhere but I dont know who, they could just be waiting somewhere in the wild and I can never find them?

I have tried getting quests that involve people being my companion, but I have done most of them, except i think the mages stuff, I have the new DLCs so is there any quests that will cancel this unknown follower?

Also could it be shadowmere? I fast travel sometimes and the horse is there with me.

Followers generally won't wait longer than that, and will leave your service and head back to base.

With problems It's generally a good idea to state if you're on xbox/ps3 or PC - if on PC you could try the console command :

set PlayerFollowerCount to 0
