Skyrim devs are lame

Post » Mon Dec 24, 2012 2:37 am

I was trying to pick up a book in the beginning of the game, it was about a guy who stole some meat and climed a tree and learned to jump from high places. The on-screen note was "Take - E" but since I have set my key bindings, this did not work. I tried pressing every key on the keyboard, All functions are bound to one key or another, so I was wondering if you cannot pick up that book?

Skyrim seems like a really cool game, but I'm stumped by the lack of development in the keyboard commands.... seems that bethesda refuses to update this lameness after over a year of updates..

Bottom line, Bethesda svcks.

So Bethesda is dumb for not knowing how *you* set your key bindings?

...really?... >_>

If Bethesda wants to force keybindings, then dont allow the player to set them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The replies so far are just plain supid.

Someone convince me I'm wrong. I think this game has so much potential, it could really be amazing but the devs refuse to fix it. So I'm going to move on if nothing can be done. And I will forever piss on Bethesda for taking my money.

A game with no key bindings? Are you joking, dude?
Well, my proof is I use the game on the PC and I always change the key bindings and I have no problems, NEVER.
So, or you have a real problem on what are you doing, or your keyboard is just broken.

When user defined keys are changed, the game does not see this. It's a known issue, has been since day one. Bethsda's is too stupid to manage "user defined keys" and "hardcoded keys" in the same game.

Please reread the issue and get aquainted with the issue.

Yes. Bethesda is dumb for not knowing how I set the keybindings as Bethesda has allowed them to be set.

Let me put it straight.
You are complaining that, if, for example, you change the jump key from lets say -spacebar- to -E- ... when the change is done, the game keeps telling you that you must use -spacebar- to jump?
Is that the problem? That is?

Because nobody can be expected to remember how they set their own key binds

I think he decided what post was a lie and forgot.

He also forgot that the cake is also a lie

This post is almost as pointless as this thread
