Post » Thu Dec 27, 2012 7:52 am

That is about a little Netch Family.

One day, the father, mother, and daughter relaxes above water.
Then a bright red ball of magical energy struck the father.
Which caused the father to go into a rage and begun striking the daughter.

The father killed his daughter in rage as the mother begun to strike her husband with flickering lights.
The mother continued fighting with him and then the cops came to end the fight.
So the father resisted the arrest and soon died on this site.

That is my story for ye'
of a little Netch Family.

~Edit~

.......

Okay, I am on PC so I dont have DB yet but am I missing something? I mean, this story is...odd but I just wanted to make sure if it is a inside thing (as in, you have to play the DLC to get it).

Care to elaborate, Jusey? :)

think you mixed up the father and mother character parts
unless you wanted the father to be a betty and the mother a bull for comical reasons

No. Betty are males and Bull are females. I talked to a Dunmer Farmer back in Morrowind about it. I'm pretty sure on that.

Care to elaborate, Jusey?

May need to play Morrowind to know about the Netches but other then that. It would extremely easy to figure out what I did in-game and why it made me laugh loudly to myself.

Of course I know what netches are, it is the story that made no sense to me. Now that you say you provoked the netches then I get it

I kinda provoked them... I used some Illusion magic to get the father mad at his family.

~Edit~

I think it is funny how I hit the father because in real life, males are more likely to abuse their families than females. (Not saying abusing is funny. Just the irony of what happened in my game).

Thats still provoking. As a matter of fact, I remember a spell from Morrowind or Oblivion called "Provoke", which was a frenzy spell.

Netch are large, peaceful creatures resembling airborne jellyfish with the size and disposition of cattle. They are supported by internal sacs of magical vapors. Netch are herded by farmers in peaceful areas, as their hide makes a good quality leather. The female or "betty" Netch is smaller than the male or "bull", but is more easily provoked into aggression, especially in herds where the female-male ratio is kept lower than in the wild for faster breeding. Some bull Netch, however, have a poisonous attack. These creatures are non-aggressive, but can be defensive of their territory during their breeding season.

Wait... how can a bull be female?
UESP also says otherwise. As does my memory.

Then why do I remember it backwards?

~Edit~

It has been way too long since I played Morrowind I guess.

Maybe there was a dialogie error back in Morrowind.
But a bull being female? That doesn't make sense, even in a fantasy world... why turn the definition of the term upside down?

Think of it as betty being a female name and bull as a big, strong bull (as in the animal).

Bulls are males and betties are female. Female cattle and whales are not Bulls.

I am sure it was due to technical issues or limitations. They did push the 360 to its limit, if not, beyond its limit with Skyrim.

Tbh, Bulls seem more to be females and Bettys more to be males. That's just me.

Beth really should have kept the different models for the Netches.

Agreed.

One more model wouldn't have pushed the console to its limits, I think...

But they do have to save room for future content. Every bit counts. Thats just me, though.
