DragonknightTemplar

So these two classes were the ones we mostly saw when ZOS had the alpha showing back in October. We know that Dragonkights are damage focused and templars more defensive. Will this mean that one will be deficient in filling another role or no? ZOS seems to tout this open class system often, yet when they say one is a defensive fighter and the other is offensive, that starts to place boundaries on class choices. Yea you can choose armor/weapon combination hell even whether you want to be mage/rogue/warrior type character, so why would they choose to limit a class to being better than another at one role? I understand a wizard being a better mage than a dragonknight for example, because there's got to be a boundary somewhere so as not to trivialize a class, but why relegate one class to in the end having less damage dealing/defensive capabilities than another? What about roleplayers, who want to play as extremely powerful(damage wise) paladins or inquisitors or a supportive dragonknight? I understand that this is all conjecture at this point, but it sure sounds like ZOS is placing some unnecessary limits on how you play.
