I have been thinking about this for some time...

What if they release a one-handed archery/ranged weapon? I was thinking about maybe introducing a one handed crossbow. Its small and does les damage, but you have the ability to use your other hand. Reloading the bolt is something I haven't thought about (did not play dawnguard yet), but for a fact it will not require the other hand.

Do you guys agree with this? Have any other suggestions to this? (Do not discuss game flaws here, I am sick of seeing those posts in irrelevent topics)

Spears+Shield combo. Throw the spear, then pull out your shortblade.

The mods for automatic crossbows seem to stick to two handed models.

A one handed crossbow would have to be very small (obviously), would likely use smaller bolts, have a limited range and ammunition capacity (semi automatic might have a bigger magazine than fully automatic).

It's effectiveness may well rest on the type of bolts available.
