I keep seeing people asking about making Werebears playable. As I understand it there are werebears in Dragonborn, but they are not playable. When Dragonborn is released I will make a mod, that will allow the player to transform into one. What abilities do you think a werebear should have?

Werebears are traditionally a slower, harder hitting, and tankier version of Werewolfs.. Just my experience with other games.

Your title is very misleading. a lie.

Yeah, Wip/Relz means you have a pretty early version released, at least.

But cool, lookin' forward toward. As far as abilities... Hmm. They'd probably share a lot with werewolves except for what he mentioned up there^.

To clear things up for the OP...
WIP = Work In Progress - you have no work done on this planned mod, so it's not a WIP.
REL = Release - you have not released this mod.

You may want to hold off a little after DB's release because it is rumored that they are planning on giving us the ability in a free update along with spears. That they're just waiting for all the platforms to get the DLC.

Do you have any source? Because I already made the scripts for such a mod, all I have to do is fill the proeprty with WereBearRace...

I'll believe that when I see it. A Werebear mod will be released day one, I'd imagine. It shouldn't be hard to accomplish. If Beth decide to stop trolling us and add them in later, awesome! But I wouldn't ask modders to hold off on it until it's more than just wishful thinking.

Hmm, I may have misread this article. Seems it was just spears being planned.


I never asked but only suggested to hold off. I did so when thinking back to the mounted combat mod that was so close to being finished only to have Beth release their mounted combat just before his mod was done.

The only leak on 'werebear' was the GameJam video.

And it was basically the head of an unanimated bear head stuck on a werewolf body and given a little reskin. That was really it.

I too was lured in by the cake. Ah well, good luck with this. Whenever you actually get started on it.

Doesn't matter. All we need is the werebear race, the rest is just a matter of making it playable.
