Just like the title says, the (in my opinion) best version of the Vampolf/Werepyre/Fangdoggie bug got patched apparently.

The one I am referring to is the "Go VL at the same moment you drink Aela's blood, revert form and Have Serana turn you before you black out" glitch.

This was my favourite way of having a "Hybrid" since it meant having the game actually recognize you as one or the other after a transformation.

It was particularly nice as it was also a way for a player that wished to remain a VL be able to use the Face Sculptor at their leisure without having to go through the whole trouble of removing vampirism just to do so as well as actually having you flagged as a VL or WW and having the ability to feed for both as well and have Vamp stages progress and regress normally.

So I gotta ask: anyone know other alternate ways to go half-n-half without sacrificing the "stability" the old way provided?

By stability I mean not having the ability to feed as a vamp taken away or not having your character recognized as either species after a transformation or having your vampirism taken away permanently with no way to get it back after going wolf.

Now I know the first reply or 3 will likely be something along the lines of "just pick one/you remove the fun of the game by doing this/what is up with people and damned hybrids/I like turtles".

To these people I say: I understand where you are coming from but c'mon, single player game, you are not affected, this is the part of the forums that applies directly to cheats, hints and spoilers so telling me not to cheat on this part of the forum seems a little unfriendly.

Thanks for any info/help and damn me for updating to the newest patch just before deciding I wanted to make a hybrid character while at the same time wondering why this was patched but stuff that actually matters wasn't


Edit: Just to clarify, the bug originally involved using the VL Form Transformation at the exact same moment you drink Aela's blood in the Underforge which lead to you appearing outside as a Werewolf like normal but after a second or 2 going into your VL form and using revert form to go humanoid, asking Serana (who you would have left right outside) to turn you into a VL then waiting to black out which left you able to toggle being eithe WW or VL with transformations.

The latest patch changed it so that using revert form simply put you back in Werewolf form and unable to converse with Serana to get the option of being turned.

So you want a bug that was fixed to be unfixed? when most people are crying out for Bethesda to fix bugs, hmmm its a strange world out there.

Actually no. That is not at all what I said. I was simply looking to see if one of the other methods of attaining this particular bug (stable, fully working hybrid) was available.

Though I do find it odd that Beth very quickly patched a "fun" glitch while after a year have not managed to fix some of the more basic and oft lamented ones that have been floating around on consoles since release that the PC community managed to fix with unnoficial patches in a matter of weeks or even days.
