Agreed. At least in Vanilla she looked like some random woman and now...now she looks a lot older and definitely gives you the 'unnatural' vibes. I almost feel bad for killing an older woman but then I remember 'oh I'm getting paid and she's a vampire, nevermind'.

Maybe Hern is beating her and she is the one who performed the Black Sacrament and took out the contract on him! Since I've installed Hearthfire, I always let her live so I can keep buying lumber from her.

Every vanilla vampire got a makeover with Dawnguard installed -- I actually like it very much that Bethesda went back and matched the old vampires to Dawnguard's aesthetic.

The only reason why hert looked normal in vanilla was because female vampires were bugged in appearance. As Prince said she was meant to have vampire features but because of bugs she looked normal hell female vampires don't even have fangs while males do a mod had to fix that.

And that's what bothers me. I know its minor but seriously what's up with female vampires not having fangs?

Dunno either bethesda forgot/bugged/laziness and its the fact that bethesda has set some of the female vampires to their normal race and swapped their eyes since female vampire appearance is so buggy.

As I said before the only way to get fangs on females is to install a mod which is sad and even then you gotta change some of the volkihar vampires in the castle to vampire race to actually see the fangs. If you do this it causes the npc body color to be mismatched with their head so I left them as they are and simply had my female player character have fangs.

Its strange bethesda got them on the males but forgot about females it seems that female vampires are like an afterthought.

Same thing happened with Sybille Stentor in Solitude.

I was not happy about this either. At least they didn't uglify Alva in Morthal. But I think she became very weak fighter as result.

Ew! I'm glad my character doesn't look old when she becomes a vampire. I preferred the subtle vampire look we had before dawnguard, now it just looks obvious. The flashlight eyes, red slit, etc.

Not really too obvious -- that picture is ghastly bright and far closer to Stentor than one would ever actually get.
