OK so Miraak is the first... according to the dlc. You are the current. Is there any dragonborn before you other than Martin from oblivion and the main char from morrowind?? I'm talking about the dragonborn that actually use the thuum and stuff.

Reman Cyrodiil also.

Of the ones we know (excluding the emperors, except Tiber Septim):
  • Miraak (Merethic Era)
  • Alessia (First Era)
  • Reman Cyrodiil (First Era)
  • Tiber Septim (Second Era)
  • Skyrim Player Character (Fourth Era, or Third if you're role playing an Elf who has lived a few centuries)

No, he/she was the reincarnation of Lord Nerevar Indoril.

There are several different meanings of the word dragonborn. Miraak, Tiber Septim and the PC in Skyrim are Dovakiin, who have and can absorb dragon souls. Alessia, Reman and the entire Septim line are Dragonborn in the sense that they have dragon blood and the Nerevarine is Dragonborn in the sense that he was an outlander (Not born in Vvardenfell) sent by the Emperor (the empire's insignia is Akatosh, the dragon god of time).

I don't think that counts as being a Dragonborn, that sounds more like...being a citizen of the Empire.

They explain it in the game that u are not born under the tribuneral morrowind empire, but they say dragon-born in that u was born in the septim empire lands. Dragons are their insignia and born under their empire.

Being born a citizen of the Empire doesn't make you Dragonborn, it means that you are a citizen of the Empire, that is it. A Dragonborn is someone who possesses the Dragon Blood, not someone who was born in an Empire who uses a Dragon as its insignia.

Miraak is the first according to him. I'm not entirely sure he's all that reliable.
