New to Skyrim and Elder Scrolls - experienced in gaming.

Hi everyone.

I got the games from steam while it was 50% rebate 1 week ago.

Now I started a game, I completed the firsts quests and only the 1 side quest from the trader in riverrun.

After killing the first dragon at the tower and going back to the town three hired thugs come after me. I was not able to fight the three of them so I managed to have them separate in fight (somehow... lol)

Now I noticed on the net what are the hired thugs and how to avoid them.

MY question now : will they come back again from the same person ?

Problem is when I first came in the village I stole a lot of stuff from HILDE and she is the one sending theses three thugs after me. I went back to see her but she act like nothing happenned.

Are they going to come again even after I killed them ?

Should I start a new game (hopefully not, I'm early game but still 5 hours of gameplay in lol)

Thanks for your advices everyones.

I don't think so, but if you steal from someone again or kill someone, there is a chance another group of Hired Thugs will go after you.

No, they shouldn't come after you again. The hired thugs are an NPC's answer to "I know you stole my stuff but I don't have enough proof to put a lawful bounty on your head."

However, it is possible that another NPC will send some after you if you steal from someone else. This is rare, though. Usually it only happens from the first person you stole from in the game.

Ah, the hired thugs. I remember how they cornered me just outside Whiterun, I kept dying the second I moved through the gate. I never killed them, but I managed to avoid the first strike, jump over the wall and run for my life :P

They're a random encounter triggered by stealing or or killing an NPC and, as you already know, they're deadly to a low-level character. If you killed them, they won't come back - but try not to steal anything until you're a little stronger. You never know who might send assassins after you...

I got my first pair of Thugs at level 18. I think I handled myself pretty well.
