I've recently started a mage for the first time. (Which is OMG FUN)

Now, I'm specializing in Destruction, Illusion and Conjuration right? I know Destruction doesn't scare to the high levels, but there's new masks in Dragonborn to help with them.

Do these masks make a big enough difference to make it worthwhile?
