Dwemer Build

Post » Wed Jan 02, 2013 7:34 pm

Not sure if this is appropriate to post here, but here we go:

I saw a post earlier where someone said they are going to play as Kagrenac, the Dwemer guy who screwed around with the Heart of Lorkhan, and this got me interested in trying to play as a Dwemer.

I just want to know what anyone else thinks would make the build more appropriate for the Dwemer, any suggestions.

Race: obviously Mer, I'm not sure which would be best, though I've made a convincing one out of a High Elf.

Skills: alchemy, enchanting, smithing, heavy armor, alteration, conjuration, and maybe two-handed?

Suggestions?

hard to say on the race, either altmer or bosmer your choice. And the skills would be pretty good, except two handed, they seem much more like mages than warriors

Thanks for the input^^

I think you're probably right there about the two-handed, I've got a good looking Altmer here, just wish elves could grow longer beards...

I'd go with one-handed... for Keening.

I would say they fit the warrior role better do to the fact they were so into machines. They often chose to use machine over magika I believe I heard once.

I can agree with what you're saying here, I believe I also heard something akin to that once. I feel magic would best simulate their... "mastery" of... everything I guess, so that's why I feel like focusing on it. I can see using weapons, but probably sparingly, maybe a hammer or battleaxe.

It's about the new DLC, nothing major, and has few details, but just in case. You have been warned:
Spoiler
If/When you can, get Dragonborn. It has lots of Toys that a Dwemer character would kill for. If you have it already, search the Dwemer ruins. There's some very nice stuff to find.

One last question before this post gets old: anyone have an idea for a name for Dwemer character off the top of their head, of know of a name generator that does Dwemer (not Dwarf, that'd give me LoTR typenames) names?

Unfortunately there's no mechanical skill, or any of the epic babylonian beards they sported in Morrowind (In the form of the Dwemer Ghost enemies).
I guess you could fabricate something with the Bosmers, they seem the most applicable in my opinion, but even in this I see it as a stretch.
