Orcs live in strongholds independent of Nords
Thalmor VS Imperials/Nords

This whole game is nothing but racism between the races.

So was Morrowind in that the Dunmer hated beast races and Nords. They distrusted all outsiders.
Its a part of the intrigue of the land.
That makes it a place that reflects their culture beliefs and faults.
While Skyrim reflects most of the story elements to a fault the general feel of the unease in the land is felt.

You sort of get this vibe from the Nords in Oblivion that they generally view themselves as the superior race.

I know right? It's almost like...the real world.

I wish they'd stop adding all this realism to my fantasy games. It's crazy!

What shacks ? The Argonians live in the Assemblage. Not the most salubrious of surroundings, admittedly.

Skyrim is also set in a time when people (races) were very suspicious of other races or anything they were not familiar with, so I think the dislike/hatred of outsiders fits quite well with the period.

Not everyone of a particular race is a part of those factions, though. Nords are in the Imperial Legion, as are High Elves. Anyone can join the Stormcloaks. Dunmer are more accepted in Riften, and the only reason why the Dunmer aren't as accepted in Windhelm is because they don't contribute to the city in any way whatsoever.

Everything else is just distrust of other races, which is to be expected. The only people who did welcome all races with open arms were the Imperials, and look what happened to them.

Welcome to The Elder Scrolls, kid. Everyone hates everyone. And don't be so quick to say "Oh poor Dunmer" without knowing about Morrowind first.

And don't get me started on why the Africans Redguards get an Adrenaline rush, or why they're the best warriors in Tamriel.

I'd give that title to the Nords.

Nords Orcs and Redguards all are the main warrior classes. Gameplaywise they all have their advantages.

Argonians and Khajits have it the worst of all(when it comes to morrowind).
