Cultural Celebrations - Howwhat do you celebrate?

You guys don't have special foods or traditions that are specific to your region?

Not really, other than the Christmas Eve seafood and various Lebanese dishes that we could just as easily eat anytime. Easter and Christmas both have ham.

I often still try to give up something for Lent, just to say I did it. It's kind of like a 40-day long New Year's Resolution. For example I gave up soda last year and now I drink way less of the stuff.

I don't do the whole giving up meat thing. Although I am trying to cut back. Maybe I can give up red meat for lent this year and see if it makes the same difference as giving up soda did.

We celebrate 'Koninginnedag' (Queen's Day) on the 30th of April as one of our unique holidays.

[Edit] Shucks, I accidentally closed this window while typing the rest of the holidays. Wikilinks will suffice.
