Don't pay the 2 grand until you figure out exactly why you owe that amount. Call the cable provider and get to the bottom of it. Preferrably soon so they don't cancel it on you and you miss all the good shows that come back next week.

Don't they phone you over this kind of stuff? why did he come to your door? you should check with his superiors to see if his claims are true, or a mistake, or just a cable employee trying to rob you.

The cable guy came to your door saying you owe them $2k? Yeah, I'd be telling him to get the [censored] off my property before he has an "accident". Then I'd be calling the cable company and telling them to go [censored] themselves. If you have proof that you're paid up tell them to slag off.

You have too many weird ass events happen to you. If I did not know any better I would think you make all this stuff up daily just to see what people think and say, but that would make you a master troll.

Show me pictures of your 10,000 dollar gaming rig and I will believe it all.

Also, make up a phony story about how he kicked your cat and it hurt little Mittens real bad. Poor Mittens. Say that when you bring it up, "poor Mittens".

Edit: Lol @ the post above mine.

I don't think people treating you with condcondescension makes you a good troll, it just means other people have had a good time at your expense.

Did he SHOW you the bill? This will explain everything you need to know as what you were charged.

Yep. Sound advice this. ^

If you have a bill to pay, they can send it to you in an official letter. Ring up the company and get it sorted out. I have telemarketers (always from India putting on the most ridiculously fake Aussie accents) ringing me all the time claiming to be from Telstra having to sort out some sort of new plan or payment with me. Every time I simply tell them "put it in a letter" and hang up.
