I really like the BFG edition and am a very big Doom fan, hence my username.

I've never had a problem with any id game ever before, dating back around 20 years.

So, i'm a bit dissapointed that the BFG edition locks up occasionally. It is fairly random and can happen after a few minutes, or an hour or more.

I have to ctrl+alt+del and then close the game and restart.

Does anyone else experience this problem? I don't get this with any other games.

I'm running the latest WHQL nvidia drivers and my specs are:-

Intel i7 740qm
6gb ddr3
gtx460m 1.5gb
ssd drive
windows 7 64 all up to date, latest DX etc.

Anyone got any tips on how to fix this? The only thing i've altered is adding the com_skipintrovideos 1 cvar to the game. All other settings are at max, 1920x1080 and it runs solid 60fps all the time.

I really hope they release dedicated servers as p2p multiplayer is just no good.
