So I spent this entire play through leveling up conjuration with the intent of using Dead Thrall once I maxed out. I finally managed to max it out, but I'm extremely disappointed by the Dead Thrall mechanics. I'm fairly positive that it's a glitch, but 9 times out of 10 my thralls will not enter a new area with me. For example, I'll be outside an inn with my thralls, enter the inn, and after the loading screen my thralls will just be gone. Not outside the inn either, just disappeared. It makes it almost impossible for me to do anything with the thralls because they can't follow me anywhere and just go back to where I found them. I am playing on PC with a few mods installed, but I tried disabling them all and still the same thing was happened.

When going inside, instead of exiting back outside. Just reload from the autosave and the DT will be placed inside the Inn with you.

Yeah I really tried to make necromancy be the main focus of a couple characters but its broken in so many ways, first off dark souls does not work and the dead thralls always fall behind or don't zone with you into a new area. Another annoying thing about necromancy is most of the spells have fairly low level caps so once you become higher level so most of these spells become useless. I can't remember the cap on Dead thralls but I think its 40, that can be raised a bit if you are a necromage vampire. Overall I would just use the atronachs you can put them where you need them and they don't get in your way as much, it can be very annoying having your dead thralls just standing behind you every time you turn around blocking door ways and such.

I just tried reloading from the auto save. Doesn't work for me.
