so yeah,

my character wears robes, but heavy armor gloves, heavy armor boots and uses a sword to fight.

he uses alteration and restoration magic, but could he really go to the college? i never see someone using weapons there...

so is it enough to just use magic in some way to go to the college or do you need to be a pure mage through and through?

i know that you can do everything with everyone, but would it make sense? i really don't know where to go with him.

I did the college with a warrior you hardly ever have to cast spells there is only 2 times it's required and they are usually novice spells. So no need to worry about magic.

edit: for it making sense part not really but you do get to go to places you can only access while doing the questline.
