Skyrim downloaded an update today, and since then, Skyrim quits itself as soon as the Bethesda logo animation is finished, before it even gets to the main menu. This happens even when I have no other mods loaded. My game still loads okay when I disable the Unofficial Dawnguard Patch, but when I do eventually start Dawnguard I would like it to be patched, so I'd like this to be a temporary solution. As I have no other mods loaded, however, I'm not sure what else to do... how essential would you guys say the patch is?
