Favorite "under the radar" games

There's countless great games that were unpopular and went under the radar due to various reasons.

What are some of your favorite games that never necessarily got the recognition you think they deserved?

I know it didn't exactly fly under the radar but I think Alan Wake was a really great game. I think the only reason it actually did get any real publicity was because of how long it was in development. It was in creation so long that people began taking notice and wondering what's taking so long. They probably figured the game must be spectacular since it's spent so much time being created. Once the game released, it got reviewed, then disappeared never to be seen again.

I don't know anyone who played Alan Wake, including my friends, and the people I've found online who did play it really didn't like it. It was such a unique game that it was a nice break from the normal main stream games that are constantly getting pumped out. The story was so strange and creepy that it was like playing an episode of the Twilight Zone or something. There were plenty of scary moments in the game that made me jump or got my heart pounding. The DLC released for the game was decent too. Not the best add-ons I've played for a game, but not too bad either.

Space Pirates and Zombies for me. Such an underrated, but brilliant game.
