I have tried searching for them myself and had no problems finding WADs for Doom 2, but there's so many that I have no idea where to start. I don't mind if you just recommend your favorites. I simply want to be pointed in the right direction before I use WADs. I do prefer to play levels of Doom that have tons to explore and plenty of secrets, so if you know of good ones for that, please tell me.

I have been playing both classic Doom games on consoles prior to finally getting to getting one of them for PC. I'm using ZDoom to play Doom 2, by the way. I plan to get the PC version of the first Doom, but have no idea which versions to get. Should I get Final Doom, Ultimate Doom or vanilla Doom when I get around to buying the first Doom?

Thank you for any help you lend me. I am only new to the PC versions of Doom. I'm loving every minute of it, too. Love how much smoother and customizable the game is on the PC.

You should've picked up the Doom 3 BFG Edition, I believe it comes with Doom and Doom 2. This is what I plan on doing when I get around to it. At any rate, as for WADs I remember the Barney one. But that's all I remember.
