Nahkriin Dragon Priest Mask

Post » Thu Jan 10, 2013 7:24 am

So I recently found out that I missed my chance to get the Nahkriin Dragon Priest Mask. I play on PS3 so console commands won't get me anywhere. I don't exactly think its fair that we only got that one chance to get the mask since many other players and I weren't very high level and were somewhat forced to run straight to the portal and skip out on all the overwhelming enemies. So I would really appreciate it if there was some way to return to Skuldafn or at least have there be a new spawn place for Nahkriin. I wish there would have been some kind of warning before entering the portal, such as "Once Entering, Skuldafn Will No Longer Be Available." Since I sorta assumed that I would be able to return eventually. So if Bethesda could release some kind of update or something to maybe allow fast travel to Skuldafn then that would be greatly appreciated by me and I'm sure many others. Not only is there a mask but also a word wall! I at least got that one... But anyways Thank You For Reading.

Should be in the Skyrim Cheats and Spoilers section, not Dragonborn.

This.

And I'm sorry to say it, but you're S.o.L.

The game was designed for a one-off trip to Skuldafn.

You say that low level characters effectively have no chance to get the mask and are "forced to run straight for the portal". I however, would respectfully challenge this claim as I've gotten all of the masks with a character no higher than level 15. Once I hit 15, I quit looking at the Skills menu so that I wouldn't have to assign Perks or physical stat points.

The fights are nominally tougher with the Dragon Priests, but not even close to impossible. Just using the Skills that I had unlocked mixed with creative use of the Shouts made the fights a breeze.

In short, I don't think that you were "forced" to run to the portal. You were in a hurry, or just plain impatient and it was only after the fact that you found out that you had missed the last mask.

While I can sympathize with the feeling of loss, there is no way back. I'd say try again with a new character, but this was a hot button issue about a month after Skyrim released, and no way back has been added in. Therefore, it can only be assumed that a "second trip option" will not be added. It's been over a year, and it's not going to happen.

Now, I don't want to seem like the super-[censored] for the nature of this comment, but I'd rather not see this minor, minor issue get necro'd. There's no reason for it.
