Hi. I have a "Asus X54C". I know laptops aren't as good as pc's but I need to know how much it would cost to buy a processor and video card for my laptop to be able to play games like Skyrim and fallout. So how much do you guys think it would cost?

IIRC laptops are a lot more complicated to upgrade. Since you are asking in general for gaming (Not just Skyrim), you can ask http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1435536-the-community-tech-thread-no-124/.

As for Skyrim, this guide has a section on general hardware points as well as a laptop http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1433825-unofficial-will-my-pc-run-skyrim-thread-62-w-hardware-guide/

It's rare than you can ever upgrade a laptop. The case is generally unopenable and the components soldered in place, so it's not something you can do yourself.

And certainly not something you'd get done cheaply either. You would also need specialised laptop components since 99% of the components on the market won't fit in a laptop.

Occasionally, some laptops are capable of being upgraded, but they have to be sent to the manufacturer for the work and again, such a thing is not cheap.
