Ign's bold Prediction about ESO

Post » Fri Jan 11, 2013 5:29 pm

So Ign just wrote an article
http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/01/10/10-bold-pc-predictions-for-2013

Too lazy to go to link then-
Pretty much Ign thinks that eso will launch as a free to play game, and be setback to 2014

So would you still get get or I guess Play the game if it was f2p, and how much p2w would be too much? Also would you be mad if ESO launched for a one time price or subscription price and then switched to f2p?

IGN doshdosh formula.

Write negative reviews and news get people up in arms that then converts to clicks...

Nothing new here, controversy sells.

I love the disclamer...

We could be wrong, so feel free to stay updated on video game news and then mercilessly make fun of us in the comments when we turn out to be completely wrong.

Look forward to that part. :flamethrower:IGN

Anyone who actually puts store by ANYTHING IGN says nowadays is living in a fantasy world where they're not complete crap, biased and out to purely make as much money and get as many views and [censored] as possible.

Edit: You only have to read the comments on that article to know what kind of a cesspit IGN is.

Very true... but then again most people are biased. This article is pretty much backed by the same mentality that brought the Redguard rumor out. It's called "spin"... when there's little news to talk about, they take an old subject and "spin" it into something new.

The press world has basically discovered you can print anything you want, so long as it's either labeled an "opinion" or the headline ends with a question mark.

SWTOR reference? It did have a relatively healthy population the whole time, despite the giant letdown it turned out to be for a lot of people.
