I thought the whole "Imperial Jarls got Imperial Coin to shut 'em up" was just implied fact, kind of like "the Stewardess and Housecarl in Riften have some *wink wink* going on" implied. Something Stormcloaks deduced, but never been able to prove. Especially when the only guy in-game I've heard saying it is a paranoid hokerr all the way in Falkreath.

Then tonight I decided to try the Civil War questline, and only then did the truth presented itself.

Now its status has been elevated from "rumor" to "fact"

And the Imperial Gold came in chests! As in there were more than one chest! If we are to compare the size of a septim and the size of a standard wooden chest, each chest could hold... what? 5000 septims?

So Breezehome is worth a chest full of gold? Madness!
