I'm looking to buy a couple of single player PC games. My internet connection is really bad so I cannot play online nor can I download an entire game online so the game must be available on disk. No specific interest in any genre or type of game, as long as it has a decent length and interesting single player mode any suggestions are welcome. I do enjoy challenging games and games that require thought and strategy. I've already played all Elder Scrolls and Fallout games so those are out. I sure appreciate any suggestions =)

Also while nothing that I consider super important, I do enjoy more recent games as they can take advantage of my computer's hardware.
