Stuck on the stairs to the Soul Cairn : V

The portal is open, we walk down the steps and run into an invisible wall. I am a vampire so it's not that obstacle.
Tried TCL. Just end up in the void.
Tried setstage. The next part of the overall quest kicks off, but we're still standing on the portal steps.
I presume I could coc into the cairn but I don't think I want to be in the center.
Any help here please. :shrug:
