If you make the Dwemer a playable race I'll sacrifice...

Post » Mon Jan 14, 2013 6:03 am

Hello forums! I'm here today to offer up in sacrifice the soul of my adorable corgi, Koz, in exchange for the inclusion of the Dwemer as a playable race in one of the upcoming DLCs for Skyrim. Please Dev Gods, accept my humble offering and give us a new race to smash stab and ... fizzle? ... with! The aforementioned sacrifice is exceedingly derpy, has an abundance of energy, counts as a grand soul and is a virgin. I pray you find my offering worthy.

If you want the Dwemer to be brought back as a playable race please post here listing what animals, family members, politicians, foodstuffs etc. you would be willing to sacrifice to the devs in exchange for this content.

If you do not want to play as the Dwemer, please tell us why here and your opinion will be noted and your name added to the list of sacrifices.

I find this to be in exceedingly poor taste...you're talking about murdering your dog, and other people, in exchange for something to be added to a video game.

Not gonna happen.

Here's why: The Dwemer are GONE. They have been gone since 1E700, 3,742 years before Skyrim takes place. If the dwemer were to return, then they would have done so by now. They are utterly gone, and are less likely to return than Valve's Space Core mod for Skyrim becoming canon.

The working theory as to why they dissapeared goes like this:during the Battle of Red Mountain, Kagrenac, the head honcho of the dwemer, so to speak, decided to activate Numidium during the battle of Red Mountain, to save the Dwemer from the Chimer. Now, Numidium was meant to become the Dwemer's god, and in order to do so, it needed sacrifices. Kagrenac, to activate the god, used his whole race as a sacrifice, to become the brass body and/or skin of Numidium. The process didn't work as he had intended, as Numidium never properly activated, maybe because a handful of dwarves (such as Yagrum Bagarn) were away in the planes of Oblivion/Aedric realms at the time. Now, this handful of dwarves would NOT be enough to reconstitute a race by any stretch of the imagination (I'd say no more than 10, and Yagrum claims to have never met another dwemer for as long as he lived.)

This is not an actual offering to actually sacrifice an actual dog or any other actual things to actual gods that develop games, guess I have to clear that up for the literal minded out there. This is merely an expression of my strong desire to play as Dwemer, and a call to those out there who are like-minded in this respect. Now that that is cleared up, He-Who_Remains you are now on the sacrifice list. :D

make your own, crop up an elf, change the skin tone accordingly and your choice of beard and done, I mean why not? not like there much difference in picking one elf over the other aside from looks and powers.

Kudos to you however for saying DWEMER in your first post in a request no less, for this I

but aside from that no, I think your request svcks, that's my opinion of course.

I have no problem with this as long as it doesn't break any established lore, but unfortunately I don't think that is a possibility.
