Cosmetic Clothing

Ive been thinking, if youve ever played LoTRo, youll know there is cosmetic clothing that you can put over your armor. Thats beautiful, seriously putting something over your lame looking armor, lets face it, some armor looks amazing while the better armor like dragonbone, looks great but what if you want a casual look while wearing your armor!

So a full set of daedric, looks cool, maybe great, although I would love if i could put maybe another armor over it to look better, say steel plate, a traditional set of armor among skyrim, you get the affects of daedric with the looks of steel plate or whatever you so choose!

That (in my opinion) would be amazing any armor over your good armor or any armor! An update that gives us that ability, giving cosmetic clothing to put over our real useful armor while we look damn sixy in a chosen armor set over the daedric or plate or glass, maybe ebony, whatever the case a chosen look. without worrying that you don't have the best.

A single update would be great reply if you agree! or send some feedback, anything is good!

I may be new to the website, but ive played oblivion and skyrim all the way through, so I know skyrim by the back of my head.

From one long time player but new forum user to another, welcome!! :foodndrink:

I've played Lotro too, great game!

I dunno, I see your point to a degree (neither my PC or Followers wear helmets - we're just too good looking to hide behind a mask, lol) and my choice of armours in the game is certainly governed to a great degree on how they look because I'm roleplayer and that stuff's important. But too be able to wear whatever and just cover it up with something is... I dunno, a bit of an easy way out. Kinda like having a 'toggle helmet' button. You either wear one for the protection it gives, or due to cosmetic reasons, go without. And the penalty for going without makes it a real decision. Will I or won't I? How much does the vanity, or RP, aspect outweigh the real ingame benefits for your character.

Without that difficult choice I think it would take away a big bit of the RP and that's what makes it interesting.

At my characters home, he has a wide collection of alternative wear, from a blacksmiths apron to his 'party' clothes. I think its neat (though admittedly somewhat of a chore) that I've got to go through the effort to change his attire into something more fitting for his environment.

He wouldn't be the life and soul of the Bannered Mare if he wore his awesome, but rather smelly, Ancient Nord armour.
