I love Doom, and it's one of the franchises that really broke me into gaming after the Atrai 2600.
But my son has finally broken free of the Lego games, and has fallen in love with the more advlt-level of games. The Elder Scrolls, Halo, Battlefield, and Mortal Kombat. He loves them all.
Well, his birthday is coming up, and he saw Doom 3 on the shelves of our local Best Buy, and said that he wants it for his birthday. I haven't picked up a Doom game in over a decade, so I was hoping to get your impressions on this game.
How does it play? Is it a good rendition of Doom, but with modern tech? Or should my son and I skip it?
