As per title I'm wondering what peoples thoughts are on the Snow Elves becoming a playable race in Skyrim via DLC or being introduced in TES VI. After speaking to Gelebor who says "it's quite possible that there are some other isolated conclaves of snow elves nestled elsewhere on Nirn" I'm optomistic that they will make some sort of return.
They will of course have a grievance to settle with the Nords as well as trying to dispell any association with the Falmer.
Would you like to see them via DLC or in future TES, and what do you think they would specialise in with regard to starting skills? Would you be interested in using a Snow Elf as a playable character?

I think there needs to be a DLC that gives more insight on their history an so on. Like finding small surviving communities an such. They're my favorite race of Mer!

Snow elves can't be a playable race in a DLC for skyrim that makes no sense. However, In future game titles if there are more and they populate? Yeah, but what special abiliities would they have? How different would they look like other then a pale-skinned Altmer? What starting skills would they specialize in?

I personally would not want to see them as a playable race. I view them as "fallen" race and I'd like to keep it that way. Same thing with the Dwemer.

Im all for bringing them back, as its a good time to introduce a new race, but they shouldn't become completely wide spread in skyrim unless the DLC gives a good reason, and I really don't see them being playable

they already show us one, and hinted that there may be more, so it could well possibly happen

They dont need to be playable (in Smyrim). But they deserve to make a return.

No, they shouldn't be a playable race and neither should the Dwemer. They should stay rare as they are according to the lore. TES already has enough player races and elevating the "lost" peoples to commonplace status is a Mary Sue move that would hurt the integrity of the lore.

because it would require them to write them in lore wise somehow, which would not work, and if they did it anyway it'd just be stupid. next game hopefully.
