Which brings me to my second point, archery. before release beth said. arrows would have more impact and would be more scarce. this wasn't so. i think they could once again learn from far cry 3. in far cry 3 the emphasis is placed on accuracy and placement. an unarmored enemy would go down with one well placed shot. you could then go back and retrieve the arrow with ease. if the enemy is armored a well placed shot to the head could do the trick. this does however suggest partial locational damage, which isn't a bad thing. skyrim is an action rpg. and arrow to the head should make your foe dead. am i right? anyways, arrows are arrows, and bows are bows. but the skill to do numerical damage can only go so far. its truly accuracy and precision that makes the markman. arrows can also be customized to have different effects such as fire, which is devastating and uncontrollable, like fire should be. there are plenty of thing i could list, AI,etc. the list could go on and on.
And there are other games skyrim and beth could learn from such as dragon age with its narrative charm and ability to influence those around you with the words you choose. Deus Ex, Fallout NV, the walking dead, even mass effect. where would are favorite games be, if developers weren't inspired by other games. at least consider what I've written. you know im right.
if by chance you've come to defend Skyrim, and tell me there is absolutely nothing skyrim can implement from other games, by all means, go ahead.
