How Much do you Metagame with a new "RP" Playthrough

Greetings,

I have well over 1k hours invested in this game between 5-6 Chars and in my newest game I'm going to try playing "through my toons eyes". That meaning; just because I know were a godly piece of loot or a quest with a great reward is DOES NOT mean my current toon does. I hope this wil add a new depth of challenge to the game and make this playthrough memorable.

The best example I can think of is the mighty Lord Stone...I mean on master setting I can't imagine what other stone one would use (besides warrior, thief, and mage when grinding smithing/sneak/enchating/alchemy).

In my previous games on master I would make a bee-line straight to the Lord stone even though it was way out in the sticks and my toon couldn't possibly have any knowledge of it. In the past I would *cough* RP that my toon was asking questions about the standing stones around Whiterun and some kind soul would mark his map with the local of the "Uber stone of magic resist." This time I'm going to wait untill my toon would have a real reason to be way out in that area. I suppose if you were RP'n a Ranger or other explorer type toon you could justify finding it sooner...

Anyways, any thoughts? Anyone else try playing a game with little or no metagaming, or "through their toons eyes" as it were? If so, did it add a little bit more satisfaction to your gameplay knowing that you didn't have Lord Stone, Savior's Hide, Ring of Namira (if your utterly evil of course), or any of the other way OP and easy to get items before you even hit lvl 15?

The first time I play a game I basically power-game. I'm learning the controls, learning the stories, becoming familiar with the NPCs, getting used to the landscape, gawking at scenery, ect. Once I feel I know the game more or less memorized, then I begin to roleplay.
