Faster Than Light is a little indie rougelike game where you're piloting a ship and it's crew through space fighting ships in random encounters along the way. You will die...a lot. But you'll be back for more.

I've been playing it as my "catching up on YouTube" game. I've gotten the Stealth ship and am have been using it exclusively. I like the starting weapons because the burst fire to take out the shields coupled with a beam weapon can take out lower end ships and drone ships fairly easy. My last run was horrible, though. I had to go through an asteroid field in the first sector and I was constantly on the verge of blowing up due to the ridiculous encounters I was getting. I somehow made it to the 4th sector, but my first jump landed me against a pirate ship with two big laser guns and two big missile launchers. I was dead in a matter of seconds. I never had enough scrap to upgrade anything because I was constantly repairing, so I didn't stand a chance.
