Will people who become Emperor be forever part of Lore?

Just wondering, will the fact that so many will become Emperor be non-canon? Or will there be a way out of it (e.g. call it the time of The Hundred Emperors or something, obviously that's a huge metaphorical understatement), and just say during the war the temporary emperors were not recorded or deemed official by the Elder Council.

What do you guys think?

Because it happens during the interregnum, the emperors that rise in power during this time period do not stay in power for very long. It's already recorded in history this way. Our actions are unlikely to change that.

Ideally, it would be nice if some sort of 'Annals of the Interregnum' were maintained by somebody at Zen./Beth. In the unlikely event of my char. becoming Emperor, I'd be greatly pleased if their week or so of total misrule were to become a footnote to the lore:"... and it took many a day to sweep the empties from the throne-room". Such an annals might well be a bit on the chaotic side, but probably no worse than the later chapters of Gibbon's "Decline".
