Hopefully Beth fixes the vampire raid bug for Dawnguard PS3

Post » Sat Jan 19, 2013 2:46 pm

I'm somewhat interested in playing this for PS3 since it will be half price for the 1st week of release. I'm hoping Beth will fix the notoriuos vampire raid bug Xboxers were complaining about when it 1st released. I'd hate to have to start babysitting vendors and quest givers every time I travel to a town after sunset or worry about cities becoming ghost towns because I installed Dawnguard.

It's one thing if vamps only attacked me in towns, but could be frustrating loading saves to stop an attack on a vendor all the way on the other side of a town. If not a fix, dead vendors should at leats be replaced by new vendors.

Yep it's not a bug it happens until you defeat the dlc.

Sorry if this is a spoiler but I didn't think it was. So once again sorry if this is a spoiler

If it's not a bug then what would you call it? A lot of people have complained about it. Some say attacks still happen even when you finish the DLC.

They are just random events that happen in the cities. So in order to prevent these just don't walk into cities or defeat the dlc as fast as possible.

The attacks do stop after it's because of a certain item that re enables the attacks but they stop completely. Haven't had a problem with vampire attacks after the dlc unless i use the item.

What items trigger the attacks? Place them in spoilers tags.

Spoilers arn't allowed so you will have to ask a moderator to move this to the spoilers section but
Spoiler
Auriel's bow. You can block out the sun for one a day as long as you shoot a blood crusted arrow at the sun. It then turns the sun red and looks like a red black hole in my opinion but right when you shoot the arrow vampires can start attacking cities but will stop when the sun turns back to normal.
