I've had Skyrim for almost a year on my computer now. Whenever I minimize it using alt+tab, then try maximizing it again, the whole screen goes black for a second (like something is trying to go full screen) then it just goes back to my desktop with Skyrim still minimized. I never had this problem until this week. I am not currently running any mods and I purchased it through Steam. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!


EDIT: I'm pretty sure it is not my hardware because everything ran fine before.

Before you let go of Alt, look in the application switcher thing that comes up and make sure the right window is selected. Skyrim has a second window that is used for something.

On a similar note, it may help to note that Alt-Tab is generally problematic for games in general, and always has been, just so you don't fret over it too much.
