As I peruse through the forums I am reminded of the intrigue I held when I first set foot in an MMO, instantly caught with rapt attention at my surroundings. The immersion of a breathing world teeming with life and action, completing objectives with strangers that become friends, and wandering aimlessly for hours with no clear aspiration besides intrigue and wonder are feelings that only MMO players can grasp.
Unfortunately many of these things have been lost in recent years, and well-intentioned players both new and old have been turned off to our genre by some that enjoy ruining things for others by being utterly impatient, rude and generally nasty with behavior that reflects feelings of entitlement and little respect for other players.
The community is half of the game, or in my humble opinion even more than that! So on launch day, and even here in our humble abode in the forums, please be courteous, kind and make an effort to help others! Show new players that want to join us in our endeavors that we care. Remember, we *all* play to have fun, not to have it stomped on by others!
Together we can begin to mend our community and make it strong, even starting right here on our forums!
See you in game, รก bient?t!
