This thread is intended for the discussion of where you started in the Elder Scrolls universe, and what your relationship to the series has been like since your first experience.

Be as brief or as detailed as you'd like. I'll start:

My first experience with TES was Morrowind, which I came to own for Xbox when I was a preteen. I found the lore incredibly interesting, and the world unlike anything I'd seen before, but unfortunately the game crushed my spirit, along with every character I made, for years. It was only about two years ago that I finally beat it with my High Elf pure mage.

When Oblivion came around I had yet to beat Morrowind, but I was nonetheless excited to see more of this mysterious, open-world fantasy series. At the time I liked its quests and gameplay much better than Morrowind; I felt like my hero accomplished some truly epic things, which I could now pull off in style due to the game's reduced difficulty compared to Morrowind. Since beating Morrowind, though, I have come to appreciate its deeper lore and more subtle, unique storylines to the point where I consider it my favourite.

Skyrim isn't my favourite TES game... But I've played it the most without question. If I had to guess I'd say I've put in roughly 1000 hours across all my characters. What keeps me playing is probably the smoothness of play, and more natural skill advancement that doesn't require tedious min-maxing for a powerful endgame character. Not to mention the beautiful natural landscapes and worthy extensions of the TES lore I know and love...

That's the meat of my history with TES, really. I attempted Daggerfall a year back and it promptly punted me in the groin and stole my sweetroll, so I've been a big wuss about attempting it again. I have also been considering an attempt at Redguard because, after reading Tiber Septim's Sword-Meeting with Cyrus the Restless, I have concluded that Cyrus may be the biggest BAMF in the lore-o-sphere.
