If you're looking to maximise benefits, I think Aela the Huntress will be a good choice:

- good-looking + hot default outfit
- follower
- quest-giver
- you always know where she is, if you want to (by activating the "Talk to Companions leaders for work" misc. quest)
- archery trainer (free
- can turn you into a werewolf.

Best looking? Its completely subjective, just matter of personal taste. Most useful? From a practical viewpoint, they're doing exactly the same, just looking differently.

But if you're thinking about who is the most beneficial for the player, Sangresed made a good point - Aela is a strong candidate for that title because of her versatility.

You have to complete the Companions questline, so you have to become a werewolf, but I believe you can marry her after you cure your lycanhropy (and you can become a vampire unlimited number of times).
