Going On A Skyrim Binge, Let's Have Some Fun!

Post » Tue Jan 22, 2013 4:29 pm

So starting tomorrow i'm going to go on a Skyrim marathon. I'm taking suggestions on what character I should roll and what foods/drinks I should get. It's going to be so much fun!

My normal race in Elder Scrolls games are Nords, Dunmer, Breton, and Imperials. I've done a Nord and a Dunmer build in Skyrim and was thinking of maybe an Orc build since I've never really rolled one before? Not a serious playthrough anyway. Maybe an Altmer even.

I plan on doing everything with this character. A complete playthrough if you will. Dawnguard and Hearthfire as well. It'll be the complete package. So.Much.Content! MQ, Companions, College of Winterhold, Thieves Guild, Dark Brotherhood, Civil War, side quests, lots of dungeon diving, Dawnguard (not sure what side yet), and the Hearthfire content.

Now what kind of munchies you lot suggest? I'm thinking soda of course, chicken wings and blue cheese is a must, fries, appetizers like mozarrela sticks and jalepeno cheddar peppers, etc.

So let's have some fun!

I don't want to be the guy who tells you to eat healthy, so I'll say this:

If you're serious about a gaming marathon, you might want to stay away from the sugar and especially from energy drinks.

I'm sad for you OP. Seriously, if you actually think it's a good idea to play for more than a few hours, water and bananas/apples/fruit of some kind, maybe peanuts.

15? On weekends sometimes when my homework is lax I might get somewhere near that now that I'm single (Thank GOD!). When halo 3 was out, my friends and I did that amount of gaming all the time.

That sounds about the same for me. With my kids grown up, I play more than that on weekends.

If you are taking time out of the game to eat then you are not doing a Skyrim marathon right.

I'm 15, I live in a pretty secluded place, my mum goes a lot and she is my only transport to other places, and I get barely any homework. And therefore my weekends are 8 hours sleep (maybe 9 or 10) and then whatever I want to do. Which usually ends up being dragon slaying. Because come on, why would I want to do anything in the real world when I carve myself some dragonbone armour?!

My record was 32 hours but that was with Civ which doesn't really have stopping points. I just kept playing until I couldn't stay awake anymore.

Yup. South Carolina. Nuthin to do here but drugs(no thanks), hunt (gets old), mudding(don't own a truck), and party(tired of hangovers and people in general, so no thanks). So instead, I go to college, study, and play games, while avoiding a relationship. I like my seclusion.

I hardly had any time to play lately with all my school work to do. I only have time for my trusty computer.

Meh - each to their own - I love Skyrim but a 15 hour binge would kill it, nice to mix things up with some mountain biking when I've got free time to spare.
