Hair clipping bug

Post » Tue Jan 22, 2013 7:56 pm

I'm having a problem where hair doesn't "turn off" when wearing a helmet, so it clips terribly with pretty much any helmet in the game. This effects all helmets, modded or otherwise, all hair, modded or otherwise and both the player and NPCs. I know it is caused by a mod (it goes away when I disable everything) but I am having a hard time narrowing it down. Anyone else had this problem with a mod who could help me narrow it down? I already tried disabling most mods that deal with hair or helmets with no luck.

Also, uh... dumb question, but is there a text file skyrim creates anywhere that lists the mods you're loading so I can post it? I know it was in the ini for morrowind, but I can't find it in skyrim...

Good luck you did. Might be helpful to others to share which mod it was in case anyone else commes across the problem in the future. As for the mod list. I'm not sure where it is by default, but most people use Wrye Bash these days and this utility allows you to export an easy to copy and past list of mods. If you do not use WB, you should concider it. It is a nice thing to have if you use more then say two mods :-)
