I current host a small Minecraft Tekkit server for 3 friends on my laptop. I know I will never be able to run the game on very good settings because of my poor graphics card, but I simply want to eliminate lag on the server side of things. Current specification is as follows...

ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250

Will upgrading to 8 GB RAM improve server performance?
