DLC: Simple requests, ideas & suggestions

As much as I enjoy talking about new major quests & locations for future DLC's, I feel that Bethesda will probably handle this quite well on their own, and I like to be surprised.

So rather than follow the trend of telling them where I want the next DLC to be set etc, I have decided to write down some simple ideas & features that I think would enhance the overall experience of the game.

Hopefully some people on the forum will agree with at least some of these.

(feel free to add to them, or add your own.)

- I would like to fight my mirror image: A character that is basically my "evil twin":. Same six, race and perks as me, similar if not identical equipment. Perhaps also a dragonborn. If this ties into the story then this would be very cool, but even if it was some weird novelty that would also be cool. Ideally it would be activated when people reach a high level. It would be a challenge I think.

- I would like it if different weapons & armour styles had their own unique attributes in addition to damage output/protection: For example, Elven weapons could be lighter, swing faster and have a higher chance of dealing a critical hit but less chance of staggering an opponent, breaking a guard, and be slightly less effective against heavier armour. Nordic steel however, could be heavier & slower with lower critical chance but better against heavy armour and at staggering opponents & breaking guards. Different armour types would have weight variations but different resistances to different types of weapons. Plate for example would provide superior defence against blunt damage, but perhaps make the wearer swing slower etc. Mail could allow one to swing faster, but provide less protection from blunt damage. Basically this would add some more tactical variables to weapons/armour to make things more interesting. Ideally this would result in many mid-high tire weapons & armour styles having no complete superiority or inferiority over the others. It would be more of a question of tactical preference.

- Harder enemies with more attack/spell variations: Tougher enemies using shield charge, shield disarm, and paralysis and invisibility spells and things like that.

- Orcs in Orc strongholds use more Orcish equipment, true to their culture: It just doesn't seem right that they wouldn't use more Orcish gear IMO.

-First person werewolf with ability to sneak: Sneaky wolves are fun.

-Dragons use more shouts: Call storm, disarm, unrelenting force(more) and things like that. To make it seem more like a thu'um duel. Perhaps certain classes of dragons could do this more often?

-To be able to put unique traits into weapons: Similar to wuuthrad's unique anti-elf enchantment. Perhaps this could be tied into a quest relating to some ancient Nedic magic?

- More talking dragons and greybeard stuff: I simply find them interesting and entertaining.

- Wolfskin wearing berserkers with some kind of berserker rage power: Skyrim just seems strange without such things. Perhaps it could be tied into a quest. Some warrior cult living in the woods with an ancient beserker rage art?

- A hardcoe realism mode: Eat, sleep, hunt, drink(with intoxication effects), fur cloaks to protect one from the cold etc. A good reason to put cooking to use.

- Mounted enemies: Simple as that really.

- More craftable jewellery & Items: Different styles of jewellery, orcish, nordic, redguard, elven etc. It would be really nice to see more of this in the game I think.

- Expert Blacksmiths can create & upgrade weapons & armours for you: For a high price you can commission a specialist blacksmith to create and hone weapons/armours of your choice for. Maybe not as high as the player could with certain smithing perks, but high enough to make other armour/weapons types more of an option for those who don't have the perks?

- More clothes, weapons and armour, especially from different cultures: I know this is flogging a dead horse, but I just enjoy variety and options.

- Spears: Heh...

- More Chainmail: because it needed its own mention...

Should I post all of it there or something?

I would. There are too many of these threads right now. Best to contain them in one place.

Hmm, should I just link it or post the full thing on that thread? But anyway, yeah, I would see the logic in the creation of one big DLC thread with rules (no flame wars, no small talk, simply post your ideas and leave it at that?). If that doesn't exist then it really should.

What would you suggest I do?
